After hearing about the secret show Motion City was playing at the tiny 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis, i knew i had to go. The tickets only went on sale the Saturday before the show, and waiting outside with the far below freezing temperatures for 2 hours was totally worth it. My friends and I got into the show just as the Spill Canvas started. Next, the Plain White T's pulled off a shaky set being that Tom had a horrible cold. My first time seeing Ok Go was amazing and i think got the small crowd ready for Motion City. When they finally got on stage, everyone went crazy. MCS played almost every single song from their two LP's and even a couple from their EP. If you have ever been to a MCS show, try to imagine the same amount of energy they give out shoved into a tiny venue. By far the best concert i think i have ever been to. Afterwards the guys mingled with some of the fans and then it was back out into the freezing temperatures where sweaty shirts froze almost as quickly as LFO's "career" ended.
